This is
another book I expected to really enjoy. It may have been because I was sick
when I read it, but I didn’t find it nearly as funny as I hoped. Furthermore, I
found the book way to unrealistic – no matter how talented you are (and she
wasn’t) I don’t see a 14 year old becoming a music journalist and quitting
school. While there were definitely some funny parts, I was really hoping by
the end she would grow up and have some revelations that she was going about
her life all wrong, but I guess I was wrong.
